The Ligne is defined by a clean, elongated silhouette that follows the natural line of the body before falling with a relatively straight and uninterrupted shape toward the floor.
Unlike silhouettes built around volume or a dramatic flare, the Ligne maintains a refined sense of continuity from bodice to hem. Its narrower proportions create an elegant, lengthened appearance while allowing the details of the gown to take centre stage.
In our illustrated example, the gown follows the body through the waist and hips before continuing downward in a fluid, nearly straight line, without the pronounced lower flare of the Sirène.
